You don't have to be a student to enjoy a day at the University of Houston. The school features a museum, performance hall, and other attractions that welcome the public to come and explore. Here is some of what the campus offers near our Houston Heights apartments:
Blaffer Art Museum
Since 1973, the Blaffer Art Museum has been a place that inspires wonder and curiosity. It's named in honor of the late Sarah Campbell Blaffer. She was a renowned Houston art patron, and the museum features pieces from her personal collection. Visitors can explore exhibits and, at times, enjoy events that bring curators, contemporary artists, and art historians. General admission is always free.
Cullen Performance Hall
A university fixture since 1950, the Cullen Performance Hall draws local, national, and international artists. Over the years, the likes of Linda Ronstadt, Elvis Costello, and the Eurythmics have taken to the stage. Check out the hall's calendar for upcoming performances. Tickets can easily be purchased online.
Don Sanders Field at Darryl Lori Schroeder Park
During baseball season, watch the university's team take on their opponents at Don Sanders Field. A recent renovation has made it one of the top college baseball stadiums in America. The Cougars draw fans from across the Lone Star State. Be sure and purchase your tickets early before they sell out.
MD Anderson Library
You will find more than just books at the MD Anderson Library. It features the Houston Hip Hop Collections, fun events, and a state-of-the-art recording studio. The library welcomes visitors daily.
After exploring the University of Houston, enjoy a po'boy sandwich at a nearby restaurant. Finally, if you would like to call our luxury apartments in Houston home, please contact our leasing team. They would love to show you firsthand everything Lincoln Heights has to offer.
