Karbach is where the brewers apply barrel-aging techniques in new and innovative ways. They create in small batches, and the barrels once held everything from merlot to tequila. The onsite restaurant offers a dining experience, unlike any other. The cuisine pairs well with the brews and the friendly bartenders suggest the perfect pairings. Try the Korean fried chicken with the pecan pie and a pint of Hopadillo IPA.
Karbach offers tours that are both exciting and informative. The knowledgeable guide discusses the company's history and the brewing process from start to finish. The fun takes place daily, and closed-toe shoes are required.
Step into the oldest craft brewery in Texas to enjoy the best beer in the Lone Star State. Some of the Saint Arnold brews are year-round, while others are seasonal or single-batch. Founder Brock Wagner develops the recipes based on his desire to produce world-class beers for local tastes. He has won numerous awards and favors rich, malty creamy flavors. Choices include Daydream, Gunter Tag, and Art Car IPA.
Barrel room tours are held once a month. The fun includes sampling a taste straight from the barrel and enjoying a soft pretzel made by the Slow Dough Bread Co. Spots are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot early.
