Blue Willow Bookshop

Growing up, Valerie regularly visited the West University Library. She made her way through every novel in the children's section and was always in trouble for staying up past bedtime. Today, Valerie is the proud owner of the Blue Willow Bookshop. Her staff boasts extensive knowledge. They enjoy sharing their passion for books and suggest both classic titles and the latest bestsellers. 

Blue Willow also hosts the Coffee Cake Book Club on the third Wednesday of every month. Everyone is welcome, and upcoming spring titles include Circe and Long Way Down.

Kaboom Books 

Nestled in Woodland Heights, Kaboom is the best bookstore in the city. It offers a casual setting and is where people gather to share ideas and join in lively conversations. The shop features thousands of books from floor to ceiling. Readers find nearly all genres, and new inventory arrives throughout the week. Kaboom opens daily at noon, and its book release parties are not to be missed. 

Brazos Bookstore 

As a hub for Houston's most creative readers, Brazos offers a carefully curated selection that connects readers to classic and contemporary works. The shop helps support local writers and collaborates with the Houston Public Library to promote its literary events. The shop only closes a few days a year. It also offers book signings and book clubs, and is owned by 27 Houstonians who came together to buy the store in 2006.
